Lineage Piece Haki Guide: Observation & Armament Questlines

Observation Haki (Level 500+)

The Observation Haki questline starts with Sogeking on Deeproot Jungle and costs 2.5M Yen at the end. It grants 10 dodges.

  1. Start the quest — speak to the Observation Haki NPC (Sogeking) on the jungle island.
  2. Defeat 40 World Bosses anywhere on the map.
  3. The torch puzzle — return to Sogeking, then find and light 5 torches hidden around the island. Lighting the fifth automatically awards the Observation Haki Book (untradeable quest item). Exact torch spots: torch locations guide.
  4. Unlock — hand the book back and pay 2.5M Yen.

A separate Obs Haki Book also exists as an ultra-rare drop (0.1% from any mob or boss) — worth knowing if you loot one before starting.

Armament / Buso Haki

Armament Haki is bought from the Buso Haki NPC rather than quested. Active effect: +25% player damage — it is the single cheapest damage multiplier in the game, take it as soon as it is affordable.

Haki Colors

Your haki rolls a random color when first unlocked. Colors are cosmetic; reroll them with a Haki Color Reroll item — 4% drop from any mob or boss, or guaranteed-pool loot from Rare+ chests. There is no separate haki leveling grind.

Which First?

Armament first for pure damage. Observation’s 10 dodges matter most for Extreme-difficulty bosses and dungeon runs (dungeon list), so pick it up before you start farming Yhwach-tier content.
