What Common Ore Is For

Ores feed the Blacksmith, the enhancement system that raises your melee and sword damage. Every enhancement level consumes ores; higher levels demand rarer tiers in bigger stacks, and advanced upgrades can fail — so you never really stop needing Common Ore.

The Ore Ladder

Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythical → Lineage Ore (the top crafting tier).

Fastest Sources

  1. The Huge Stone world event — spawns in Dawnwind Village every 20 minutes, despawns after 5. Every 1% damage you deal awards one random ore, which makes it the single best ore-per-minute source in the game. Full breakdown: Huge Stone guide.
  2. Mob grinding — ores drop across the open world; material drop chances were globally buffed in the Saber Alter & Firefly patch.
  3. Chests — higher-rarity chests pay bonus materials alongside coins (chest table).

Farming Tips

  • Damage share counts on the Huge Stone — you do not need the killing blow, just hit it hard for your percentage.
  • Stack luck buffs (Rank system, Tower upgrades, Skill Tree) — drop rates scale with luck since the Solemn Lament patch.
  • Do not sell low-tier ores; failed high-tier enhancements will send you back down the ladder for more.
